Bylaw Section 10-A-5: "Any individual who was registered with a rival political party, or who was not verifiably registered as a Republican in the official state voter registration database, as of the end of the earliest declaration of candidacy filing period for offices appearing on that year's primary or general election ballot, shall not be eligible to run for or be elected as a precinct officer or delegate or to be a replacement until after the first state party convention since registering Republican. Such individuals may attend the caucus, vote in caucus elections, and participate in discussions and other activities. This restriction does not apply to individuals who were unregistered to vote in Utah or registered as unaffiliated before changing their affiliation to Republican."
